FIELD: manufacture of engines. SUBSTANCE: each of cylinders 1 and 2 of the rotary internal combustion engine is divided into two chambers; engine chamber 18 and two delivery chambers 19; similar chambers of cylinder 1 are shifted by 90 deg relative to the similar chambers of cylinder 2, thus providing for cross scavenging and filling the working chambers of the engine with fresh charge before the compression stroke. Delivery chambers 19 of cylinder 1 are scavenged and chambers 18 of cylinder 2 are filled with fresh charge, while delivery chambers of cylinder 2 are scavenged and engine chambers of cylinder 1 are filled. To reduce vibration of the engine, rotors 5 and 6 are shifted from axis of cylinders 1 and 2 to opposite sides through similar distance. Rotors 5 and 6 are rotated in opposite directions; they are thrown into engagement through gear pair 10. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 8 dwg
