FIELD: diaphragm separation of chemically active liquids and gases. SUBSTANCE: casing accommodates bank of diaphragm members whose ends are fixed in movable and stationery tube plates. Movable plate has shell whose axial bore communicates with separated mixture pipe union; circular separating member in the form of metal diaphragm is connected over its external perimeter with casing and over its inner perimeter, with shell bottom near pipe union. Its distance δ from end cover surface is found from inequality d < 0,8(δs - Δe), where Δe is maximum bend of diaphragm, δs is maximum change in diaphragm member length.
