FIELD: separation of gases and liquids. SUBSTANCE: housing of apparatus is divided into sections by means of distributing plates with bypass passages. Arranged in each section in staggered order are diaphragm members oriented by their axes perpendicularly to the flow of medium being separated. Ends of diaphragm members are located in two tube sheets one of which is detachable. Both tube sheets are mounted in spaced relation to side walls of housing forming chambers which are brought in communication with permeate discharge pipe lines and removing agent supply pipe lines; inner surfaces of two other opposite walls of housing are provided with alternating projections and recesses; recesses partially embrace end diaphragm members. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, ease of assembly and operation and reduction of hydraulic resistance of apparatus. 3 cl, 3 dwg
