FIELD: separation of gases and liquids. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is divided into sections by means of separating plates with bypass passages; arranged in each section are diaphragm members oriented by their axes perpendicularly to the flow being separated; diaphragm members are arranged in groups; members of each group are secured in two tube sheets one of which is detachable so that axes of diaphragm members of each group are oriented in parallel to each other and axes of diaphragm members of two adjacent groups are oriented perpendicularly to each other. Detachable tube sheets are tightly fitted to two adjacent walls of housing and non-detachable tube sheets are mounted in spaced relation to two other walls of housing forming chambers brought in communication by means of permeate discharge pipe line. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, ease of assembly and operation and reduction of hydraulic resistance of apparatus. 3 cl, 4 dwg
