NON-BLINDING HEADLIGHT Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: transport; lighting devices. SUBSTANCE: headlight has light unit, reflector and collecting lens and it creates highly localized luminous flux with non-contour structure of light spot. High efficiency is provided by use of spherical reflector placed inside which is light source with radiating port whose generating contour features decreasing transparency. Collecting lens is concentrically bifocal, with external shorter-focus zone. Configuration of radiating port provides specific configuration of light spot. Light source and reflector can be made in form of one element - reflector lamp with radiating port. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities; prevention of blinding of on-coming drivers. 1 dwg
