FIELD: ultrasonic testing. SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic testing with use of echo-through method with automatic isolation of time interval of possible emergence of echo-through pulse due to use of additional acoustic channel located exterior to test zone is conducted. Selection of distance between uniaxial radiator and receiver depending on range of thicknesses of tested plate rolled stock and on measurement errors is optimized and velocity of contact liquid (water) is measured in process of test. EFFECT: increased authenticity in detection of surface flaws. 4 dwg
