FIELD: methods of measurements of physical-mechanical characteristics of materials.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with measurements of physical-mechanical characteristics of materials. The technical result is development of the device for the ultrasonic control of strength characteristics, elastic characteristics (Young's modulus of longitudinal elasticity, shear modulus, Poisson's factor) and structural characteristics (an average size of grain) of a material in a dynamic mode. The device contains a radiating piezoelectric converter connected to a generator of high-frequency pulses, a reception converter connected to an amplifier unit, a connected to its output intervalometer and a spectrum analyzer. The reception converter is made in the form of a ring, an inner radius of which is equal to the radius of the radiating converter. At that the amplifier unit consists of in series connected a prime amplifier, an amplifier with adjustable coefficient of amplification and a detector. Also additionally connected are an amplitudemeter of registered signals, a unit of synchronization and formation of the temporary strobe pulses, a unit of time selection, a control unit connected with a keypad, a display unit, an amplifier unit, a generator of high-frequency pulses, a data collection system and a unit of information processing. At that the input of the amplitudemeter is connected to the detector of the amplification unit, the output of the unit of synchronization and formation of the temporary strobe pulses is connected to the inputs of the generator of high-frequency pulses, the time-intervalometer, the time selection unit, the spectrum analyzer, the data collection system, and its input - to the output of the control unit. Inputs of the spectrum analyzer are connected to the outputs of the time selection unit and the control unit, and its output is connected to the input of the data collection system, to which outputs of the time-intervalometer and the amplitudemeter of signals are also connected, and the data collection system output is connected to the information processing unit, which is connected to the output of the control unit, and the input of the time selection unit is connected to the output with the amplifier with adjustable coefficient of amplification.
EFFECT: developed a device for the ultrasonic control of strength characteristics, elastic characteristics and structural characteristics of a material in a dynamic mode.
