FIELD: building materials industry. SUBSTANCE: the process for manufacturing building materials comprises mixing a finely ground nepheline slurry, filler and mixing liquid, molding articles and heat-moisture treatment at 90-100 C the finely ground nepheline slurry is first mixed with a fine filler and clay is added, the resulting mixture is mixed with a 12% sodium carbonate solution in an amount of 60% of its total amount and fed to rolls, stirred for 15-20 min, the remaining sodium carbonate solution and once again stirred till is becomes homogeneous, articles are molded from the resulting molding mixture comprising (wt % )% 27.3-33.8 a finely ground nepheline slurry; 16.0-20.0 a fine filler; 27.9-35.8, clay; and a 12% sodium carbonate solution, the balance. The articles are molded and dried at 55-65 C till 2.5% shrinkage and then subjected to heat-moisture treatment for 13 hr and thereafter dried at 120-125 C for 4-6 hr. The claimed invention makes it possible to increase frost resistance by 1.5-2 times, improve viability of the mixture by 2.5-3 times and increase the softening coefficient by 60-80%. EFFECT: improved frost resistance of articles, improved viability of the mixture and increased softening coefficient of the mixture.
