FIELD: treatment of objects in liquid. SUBSTANCE: corona discharge is effected in electrolyte in the point-plane electrode system. Specific electric conductivity of electrolyte exceeds 8 cm per m. Point is formed by one of edges of flat metal foil embraced by dielectric. Edge is shaped in form corresponding to the required shape of the pressure wave front. Electric field intensity at the point exceeds 107W/m V per m. When edge of foil is shaped in form of circle, the object to the treated is placed in its center where zone of interaction of concentrically converging waves and flows of liquid is located. When electrolyte at lesser initial conductivity is used, it shall be brought to required level through heating the electrolyte. The electrolyte shall be heated to a temperature ranging from 20 to 95 C. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
