OVERRUNNING BRAKE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: overrunning brake has coupling gear installed for reciprocating in drawbar housing. Coupling gear is rigidly coupled with piston drive rod of brake master cylinder. Overrunning brake has brake fluid return line to drain brake fluid from main brake line into expansion tank of master cylinder through electrohydraulic valve supplied through relay from trailer inner lighting circuit and operating by command from backing lights circuit. Position of electrohydraulic valve is monitored by signal lamp installed on trailer front board within field of vision of driver; lamp is switched on by limit switch. To cut off brake in emergency if electric circuit or electromagnet is defective, special button or cock is provided. With trailer brakes applied, pickup energizes signal lamp.
