FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: steel is alloyed with aluminium and nitrogen and is of the following content (per cent by weight): 0.01 to 0.1 carbon, 12 to 22 nickel, 5 to 13 tungsten, 0.01 to 3 molybdenum, 0.01 to 3 titanium, 0.01 to 10 cobalt, 0.01 to 3 aluminium, 0.3 to 2 nitrogen, the balance being iron. The steel is of 66 to 72 HRC hardness. Bending strength exceeds 1700 H/mm2. EFFECT: increased hardness of the steel, with keeping up high bending strength. 1 tbl
