FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: powered support has units consisting of bases and cappings interconnected by hydraulic props and telescopic guards articulated to each other. Guards have L-shaped frame hinged to its upper part. Its lower part has two telescopic supports to rest on floor of mined layer. Telescopic supports have additional hydraulic props for their extension. One ends of these hydraulic props are secured to upper part of L-shaped frame connected with guard, and the other ends, to extended parts of telescopic supports. Bases may have plates hinged to guard lower part on which L-shaped frames rest. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
