ARBALEST Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: sports weapons. SUBSTANCE: arbalest has stock with handles, throwing unit with bow-string, triggering unit with spring-loaded trigger and arrow located in groove of stock. Triggering unit of arbalest is manufactured in the form of tackle block systems placed on both sides of stock and interconnected with bow-string which ends are anchored on arbalest and of restoring elements coupled on one side to one of shafts of tackle block system with the aid of swing joint and on the other side made fast to stock. Triggering unit is also provided with cam having protrusions, one of which is coupled to trigger and the other one to bow-string. Tackle block system can have even and odd multiplicity.
