FIELD: electric machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: brush-and-collector unit of electric machine has collector, brush group and unit of commutation improvement. Collector is made from conductive 1 and insulating 2 plates. Brush group includes key 3 and auxiliary brushes. Auxiliary brush is tangentially separated into longitudinal elements 4, 5, 6, 7. Longitudinal elements are insulated from each other and from key brush. Adjacent longitudinal elements and key brush are connected to each other through nonlinear-resistive elements of potential-limiting type, key brush is linked to terminal of power supply source. Auxiliary brush is placed on side of run-off edge of key brush. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency. 1 dwg
