FIELD: electrical engineering; low-voltage circuit-opening devices. SUBSTANCE: device has cup-shaped nonmagnetic case 1 holding stator 2 of stepping motor press-fitted into it and provided with control winding 3 and shaft 4 with pointed end portion 5. Claw-shaped magnetoelectric inductor excited by permanent magnet 21 is fixed on nonmagnetic metal bush 6 whose blind space mounts slide bearings 7 and steel plate 8. Shaft 4 is placed inside slide bearing 7 and its pointed end is butted up against plate 8. Bush 6 has disk-shaped end wall 9 and lug 10 carrying disk of contact holder 11 made of insulating material and mounting conducting and insulating members 12 and 13. Brushes 14 placed in brush holders and held down by springs 16 slide over their smooth surfaces. Sealing gland 18 is provided to prevent ingress of products of contact wear (brush-and-strip dust). Device depends for its operation on closure of pair of brushes connected in series with electric circuit by means of movable conducting member set in stepping angular movement.
