FIELD: rolling. SUBSTANCE: bearing support includes roll journal 1, cover 2 secured on pad 3 by means of bolts 4 and intended to fix bearing therein. Mounted inside cover on bearing side is distance bushing 6 with holder 8 secured to distance bushing by screws 7 to embrace thrust bushing 9. Bushing 9 is provided with flange 10 installed inside holder 8 in recess of larger diameter. Collar made at the end of the recess is designed to limit axial displacement of flange 10 and thrust busing 9 thus preventing its falling out of retaining unit, when pad 3 is being put onto roll journal 1 in the course of assembly. Ends of distance bushing 6 and thrust bushing 9 mate with each other by threaded surfaces 11 and 12 so that trust bushing 9 with flange 10 may rotate relative to distance bushing 6 to move in axial direction. Annular recess 13 accommodating semi-circular thrust keys 14 is made on roll journal 1 to fix bearing 5 relative to roll in axial direction. Longitudinal end face grooves 15 and 16 made on thrust bushing 9 and holder 8 are designed to enable insertion of keys 14 into annular recess 13. Rotation of holder 8 is prevented by retaining member mounted on the holder and made in the form of screw 17 with nut 18. Screw 17 is positioned in bushing 19 radially to holder 8 for free rotation and bushing 19 is mounted in cover 20 fastened to holder 8 by bolts. Made on the end of screw 17 is rack 22 engaged with toothed rim 23. EFFECT: improved reliability. 2 dwg
