FIELD: rolled stock production, namely transmissions of roll drive mechanisms of rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: assembly for joining rolling roll with spindle includes journal of roll with cylindrical part and blade, toothed sleeve rigidly connected with spindle shaft and sealing unit mounted in end of yoke at roll side. Said toothed sleeve has lengthwise angular grooves supporting rectangular cross-section inserts engaging with planes of said blade. Edge of inner surface of said sleeve at side of roll is provided with cylindrical turning in which arch-shaped end protrusions of inserts are arranged. Said protrusions and end portion of sleeve are closed outside by means of end through-type flange with dead annular turning. Said flange and sleeve have in their walls in zone of their mutual joining matched openings normal relative to flat surfaces of said inserts. Beads are arranged in said openings. Inner surface of said flange is joined with cylindrical portion of roll neck. End of said sleeve is closed by cover at side of spindle shaft. Said cover is mounted by interference fit on outer surface of said sleeve. It has arranged inside said sleeve central dent whose cross section is the same as that of said blade and whose flat surfaces are joined by clearance fit with reciprocal surfaces of inserts. Said dent has inner hole for mounting centering cylindrical stem of roll neck blade portion. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of spindle shaft, lowered idling time period, increased efficiency of rolling mill and high quality of rolled strips. 4 dwg form ofF
