FIELD: microwave heating. SUBSTANCE: microwave device has heating chamber, microwave generator, section of multistage two-dimensional-periodic retarding system which has pins, links and plates. Stage of section of two-dimensional-periodic retarding system has three links any of which is shifted relatively the adjacent links for 1/2 period in the direction being perpendicular to propagation of microwave energy. The first and the second links are connected electrically along the total length together by the first plate. The other plates are disposed at two ends of links and connected electrically with them. Device may have additionally the second section of multistage two-dimensional-periodic retarding system which is disposed above the material to be processed and shifted relatively the first section for 1/4 period in the direction being perpendicular to the direction of propagation of propagation of microwave energy. Size of section in axial direction is determined by width of material to be treated. Number of sections in chamber is specified by conditions of technological process.
