FIELD: impulse light sources. SUBSTANCE: working medium is used in burst plasma generator in initial solid phase. Working medium produced from explosive material is initiated in the course of device operation and, as it is placed along chamber surface between liner and outlet hole, it is pushed out of gap between liner and chamber with accelerating speed towards cumulation zone wherein plasma jets collide to form plasma focus. EFFECT: simplified design of device due to dispensing with chamber pressure maintenance system, improved density of jet, density of formed plasma energy, and device efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
