FIELD: wool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method is recommended for processes of prediction of physical properties of natural fibres and fibre materials in fulling of woolen articles. Method provides for analysis of sample of wool. The latter is put into closed oscillating working element with fluid with mass relationship 1:(6-12). Fulling and felting are conducted simultaneously with amplitude of oscillations of working space equal to 10 mm with frequency 45 Hz and at temperature of 40 C by collision of tested sample with walls of working space with subsequent determination of fulling ability of wool by measurements of diameter or volumetric density. EFFECT: reduced labour input, increased productivity and simplified determination of fulling ability of wool. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
