FIELD: textile industry, in particular, production of material, which may be used as heat-insulating layer in street garment and sleeping-bags. SUBSTANCE: material has canvas made from mixture of filaments used in the ratio of 20: 1-1: 2. Surface-active cation-active substance of formula: is applied to filament I in an amount of 0.01-1.0% of weight of filament I, and nonionogenic surface-active substance of formula: is applied to filament II in an amount of 0.01-1.0% of weight of filament II. Filaments are interconnected by latex binder used in an amount of 10-35% of weight of material. Synthetic filament of any kind may be used as filament I and wool or fluff may be used as filament II. EFFECT: improved heat-insulating properties of material, low residual deformation upon compression providing stable thermophysical properties of material during usage and maintaining predetermined space between filaments and, as a result, increased volume of material. 4 tbl
