FIELD: cooling engineering. SUBSTANCE: vortex air cooler has heat exchanger 1 constructed as spiral pipes 3 positioned in a cylindric chamber and connected with nozzle intake 4 of vortex pipe 5. The vortex pipe has branch pipe 6 for discharging cooled air and cooling jacket 7 coupled with pipe line 9 for supplying coolant and with heat exchanger 1. Exhaust silencer 16 coupled with branch pipe 6 is mounted in the cylindric chamber. At the outlet, the temperature of cooled air is equal -18 - -20°C at 0.6 MPa pressure of compressed air at the cooler inlet. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
