FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: determining the number of nitrophils in blood with peripheral distribution of cationic proteins, content of cells with abnormal granules and fragmentation index of nuclei. If the the first factor is increased up to 170%, third factor is increased up to 113% in comparison with normal values and if cells with abnormal granules occur it is diagnosed to be an acute respiratory disease. And if the first factor is increased up to 389%, the third one is reduced up to 75% in comparison with normal values and cells with abnormal granules are present it is diagnosed to the bacterial catarrhal angina. EFFECT: enhanced differential diagnosis.
