ELECTRON GUN Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2028687 C1

FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: electron gun has anode, focusing electrode and porous metal cathode with protrusion in the form of rectangular prism with dimensions of base equal to dimensions of cross-section of beam installed into rectangular hole of focusing electrode flush with its surface facing anode of gun. Protrusion of cathode base has cut-outs forming set of hollow cathodes over width of beam which surfaces exceeds that of cathode subjected to bombardment with ions of metals in operational electronic device of O type. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
