FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural elements of vacuum electronic devices. Cathode assembly for electron guns with power of 10 kW and more comprises a base and an electronically heated disk cathode fixed by three rods. Cathode is placed in a bushing with tangential grooves for rods at the end, attached to the base by a bayonet connection, in which the ends of the rods serve as projections. Adjacent ends of rods can be bent in opposite directions. Bushing and base are made from material selected from the group: tungsten, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, graphite, and bushing — from molybdenum or graphite. Base or the bushing can be made with the possibility of performing the function of the focusing electrode of the cathode assembly.
EFFECT: improved repairability in conditions of metallurgical shop and increased accuracy of alignment of electron-optical system of gun.
