FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: metal halogen lamp has torch made of optical clear material with electrodes installed air-tight and filled with inert gas with additives to provide torch with halogenides of radiating metals. Halogenides of indium in the amount of 0.5-9.0 μmole/cm3 of volume of torch are used as additives. Inert gas pressure amounts to 66.5-200.0 kPa.
