FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: unit for irradiation of plants includes radiation source, start and control equipment and light device. Radiation source presents mercury-free metal-and-halogen lamp generating radiation with following energy distribution within region of photosynthetic active reaction: 400-500 nm 20 ± 5%, 500-600 nm 40 ± 5%, 600-700 nm 40 ± 5%. In composition of filling of mercury-free metal-and-halogen lamp there are used additives to provide burner with lithium halogenides in amount from 0.2 up to 3.0 mg/cu.cm with gas pressure from 13.3 to 200.0 kPa.
