FIELD: gas heating devices. SUBSTANCE: electric heater has box-shaped housing 1 in which detachable interchangeable frame-shaped holders are mounted across flow section. Secured in each holder is one flat heat-liberating assemblage formed by electric heating element 5 which is connected to terminals 3 of front panel 2. Electric heating element 5 is arranged in zigzag tubular coil 6 mounted in middle plane of holder with coil 6 shifted by half pitch towards one of lateral walls of holder. Each subsequent holder is turned by 180 deg. to longitudinal axis as compared with previous one; holder position retainers 7 are located on walls of housing 1.
