FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: device comprises support plate 1 one side of which carries a revolving pad 3 secured on horizontal axle 2. The center of gravity of said pad 3 is offset to the opposite side of the plate. The axle protrudes beyond the outlines of the plate and its ends are bent to form hooks: one end carries a bait holder while the other one forms an arm for abutting against the lower surface of the plate or, in another embodiment, against the upper surface of the revolving pad 3. The hooks are engaged and disengaged by the longitudinal motion of the axle 2. The combination of the bait holder with the axle provides for fearless approach of the rodent to the bait.
