SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: measuring magnetic field strength H in the direction coinciding with a predetermined direction of residual voltages and recording lines with value H equal to zero along this line, measuring a gradient of H along length 1 on both sides from this line at distance 1, determining zone of concentration of maximum value of residual voltages on the basis of a gradient maximum value.
