FIELD: methods for monitoring of article stressed- strained state according to residual magnetization of material, applicable in various branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measurement of the normal component of the magnetic field strength in the points equidistant from each other in each measuring channel, determination of the respective gradients and computation of the respective magnetic indices according to the weighted average and maximum values of gradients of the normal component of the magnetic field strength in each measuring channel and between the given channels. The obtained magnetic indices are compared with the critical magnetic index determined as the relation between the gradients of the normal component of the magnetic field strength corresponding to the ultimate strength and the yield point of the material under examination respectively. EFFECT: expanded capacities for determination of the stressed-strained state for various materials of articles, in particular, determination of the stressed-strained state both for ferromagnetic and paramagnetic materials, as well as enhanced store of means for determination of the quantitative and qualitative states of the article under examination. 2 cl, 5 dwg
