FIELD: processing of radioactive materials. SUBSTANCE: after coarse evaluation of level of radioactivity radioactively contaminated object are dissolved in bath with boronhydrofluoric acid. Radioactivity of solution or materials liberated from solution is measured again. Materials liberated from solution chemically or with electrolytic precipitation are precipitated on cathode plate of geometry suitable for measurement. If radioactivity of precipitated metals is less than maximum permissible value, they are liberated and sent in the form of scrap for repeat use. Radioactive boric acid from reactors with water cooling under pressure can be used to produce boron-hydrofluoric acid. It needs only addition of hydrofluoric acid and distillation after addition. EFFECT: reduced radioactive waste, diminished technological expenditures. 7 cl, 3 dwg
