FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this method of preventing post-operative complications after completion of operations on gastroenteric tract prescribes enteral sound feeding using monomer electrolytic solution and external decompression of stomach and duodenum 2 - 4 h after operation. Specifically, disclosed method prescribes perorally administering about 30 to 60 ml monomer electrolytic solution 2 to 4 h after operation has been completed, prior to enteral sound feeding every 10 to 20 min in daily dose of 1.2 to 1.5 l. This method further prescribes using nutrient mixture to be taken in amount of 1.0 to 1.5 l a day for enteral feeding and Ringer's solution for perorally feeding patient.
