FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this adsorbent allows extracting atherogenic lipoproteins from whole flowing blood, plasma and lymph. Such sorbents, modified chitosan N-sulfosuccinate, may be silochrome, macroporous glass or silica gel, either solid, granulated or porous. Optimum diameter of pores ranges from 130 to 250 nm. EFFECT: excellent holding capacity, selectivity relative to atherogenic lipoproteins, marked hemocompatibility, and low cost. 3 tbl
