METHOD TO ESTIMATE STATE AND DEGREE OF ALIGNMENT OF DIESEL ENGINE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: diagnostics of diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: when measuring time, that it spends to increase level of output signals of electroacoustic converter, duration of fuel feed to a cylinder is recorded by phases of vibrosignal level exceeding on preset regimes of engine idle running for each cylinder. Then mean duration for all cylinders for two rotary speeds, for example, averaged and rated ones is determined. Determined mean values are compared to reference ones available for given regime and engine type, and then engine state is estimated. In so doing, if deviation is revealed on higher rotary speed the reason is in high losses for gas exchange and driving additional mechanisms. If it is revealed on lower rotary speed, this is a result of loss of adjustment, loss of alignment. EFFECT: quality assurance. 1 dwg
