FIELD: thermonuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: stretched-plasma-section toroidal thermonuclear plant having magnetic system, toroidal vacuum chamber with blanket sections inserted in it to form passive stabilization loops for vertical position of plasma pinch is provided with ribbed walls of blanket sections in region where passive loops are located. Ribs are unidirectionally oriented and made of structural material of blanket; they form zigzag-shaped electric insulating clearances. Passive stabilization loops are saddle-shaped, adjacent side walls of blanket sections are ribbed; ribs on side walls of blanket are oriented in toroidal or vertical direction. EFFECT: reduced quantity or eliminated copper alloy plating in blanket and chamber design which cuts down cost of source materials and manufacture of these structures, improved radiation situation during repair and maintenance work, reduced expenses for burying radioactive wastes, improved environmental situation; in addition, reduced internal thermal stresses in blanket section walls, facilitated manufacture and assembly, improved general reliability of plant due to elimination of danger of plating exfoliation as result of action of thermal stresses and electrodynamic loads arising in case of plasma current stripping. 2 cl, 3 dwg
