DEVICE FOR SURFACING OF TRACK Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: construction of railroads. SUBSTANCE: device for track surfacing has telescopic beam with sections 1 and 2, telescopic supports 3 and 4 made in form of power hydraulic cylinders, supporting trucks 5 and 6 with rail grips attached respectively to sections 1 and 2, tamping unit 9 arranged on self-propelled body 10 along telescopic beam. Tamping unit 9 includes guides 12 and sliders 13. Installed on the latter are eccentric shafts 14 with drive, carriers 15, levers 16 with tamping picks 17 connected with shafts 14 and carriers 15 hinged to sliders 13 and levers 16. Hydraulic cylinders 22 and 23 serve to force tamping picks 17 into ballast and ballast compression (by moving tamping picks towards each other). Mounted on sliders 13 are bell-cranks 18. Attached to one end of bell-cranks are rollers 19 interacting with convex surfaces 20 of guides 12, and the other ends are connected to each other by power hydraulic cylinders 21.
