FIELD: food processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves complex reprocessing of algae to obtain algal mass containing complex of natural components and calcium alginate not separated. To do that, algae are washed, ground, treated in acid medium, neutralized in two stages: by washing in sea water, then in sweet water. Mass obtained is heated to 60 C and mixed with carbon potassium sodium salt for 10-15 min till pasty mass is produced. Then concentrated solution of calcium chloride is introduced, mixed, washed in sweet water. Washing water is removed by pressing and drying is effectuated.
