FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: pasteurizer for liquid media, preferably food products, has accumulating tank, pump, regeneration and cooling section, infrared heating section formed as removable units connected in series. Each unit has cylindrical reflector with heat-insulated outer surface. Tube positioned in reflector is made from low-absorption material. Product guide coaxially mounted in tube is made from non-frangible material emitting infrared radiation when heated. Space between reflector and tube is chosen such, that reflective surface makes coherent radiation source relative to infrared radiation emitter. Inner section of product guide of each subsequent unit is reduced in the direction of flowing of medium. Product guide is made from material, which transforms heat energy into monochromatic infrared spectrum with wave length absorbed at the most by medium under treatment.
