FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: device for pasteurization or sterilization of fluid media, mostly food products, comprises accumulating container 1, pump 2, SHF-energy generator 7, waveguide 8 and SHF-treatment chamber 3. A button-type converter of SHF-energy wave shape is installed at the product inlet into SHF-treatment chamber. The button-type converter has a hole for admitting the handled material into SHF-treatment chamber. Said hole accommodates a detachable shaper of the stream of handled medium. The SHF-treatment chamber has additional coordinating devices and an insert of a material little adhesive to handled medium. The device comprises recuperator 6 whose cold side is connected to the handled medium pipe between accumulating container and the inlet of the SHF-treatment chamber. Successively connected to the treated medium pipe between the outlet of the SHF-treatment chamber and the hot side of the recuperator are intermediate tank 4 and additional pump 5.
