FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: essence of this method resides in that cicatricial tissue is exposed to holmium laser radiation at wavelength λ of 1.96 to 2.15 mcm and periodic pulse energy of 0.1 to 2.0 J and pulse duration of 200 to 500 mcs. Cicatricial tissue is treated by for example focussed ray transmitted through light guide in the form of optic fiber whose working end face is allowed to contact cicatricial tissue. First treatment may be followed, when needed, by repeated exposure to defocussed holmium laser beam or alternate exposure to focussed and defocussed rays. EFFECT: prevention of relapses after surgical intervention aimed at elimination of cicatricial tissues plus effective dissection and hemostasis. 3 cl, 6 dwg
