FIELD: hydraulics. SUBSTANCE: pressure wave energy is dissipated in stream onto perforated lobes of damping elements which are moved apart one relatively another along the stream. The stream is closed at the region between the damping elements when passing through the stream of wave pressure and rarefaction at intensity being higher or lower than preset one. Device has case, break valve made in form of rotatable non-perforated shutters which are connected together by means of elastic coupling and damping element mounted inside the case - one before the valve and the other behind the valve. Damping elements are made in form of motionless profiled core provided with annular grooves and support member. Rest members are made in form of longitudinal ribs. There are rotatable profiled lobes which are connected by hinges with the core. The hinges are disposed inside the grooves and lobes are connected together by resilient member. Lobes of damping elements are located ahead and behind the valve and may have different perforation value. Angle of slope of lobes of damping elements at initial position may be lesser or equal to angle of slope of shutters at their initial position. Device may be also provided with additional lobes disposed in reverse and shutters of the valve. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 2 cl, 8 cl, 5 dwg
