FIELD: compaction of road base and cover. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has located in plane of shell in parallel cylindrical rolls and mounted behind them polyhedral rolls with number of planes increasing from 10 to 24. Shell axis inclined position fixation mechanism is made in the form of ratchet wheel, fixed on axis of shell, and contacting its surface spring-loaded stop, mounted on frame in guides. Wheel gears stop planes are located along its radius. Planes, facing direction, that is opposite to direction of cylinder rotation, have form of logarithmic spiral with angle of tangential inclination to polar radius α = 70 - 85 deg.. Polyhedral rolls are located along circumference in pairs with equal number of planes. Number of wheel gears corresponds to half of number of cylindrical and polyhedral rolls. Shell is made of elastic material. EFFECT: cylinder of roller is used for compaction of road base and cover. 2 cl, 3 dwg
