VIBRATION-WAVE ROLL OF ROAD ROLLER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: road-building machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: road roller is intended for compaction of materials used in road-building industry. Vibration-wave roll has cylindrical shell made of resilient material. Two small rollers are installed on frame at different sides with respect to vertical axis of shell. One of these two rollers is provided with eccentric axle together with drive unit for rotation of this axle. End-face discs are installed by means of bearing supports on frame at end-sides of shell. Shell is connected with end-face discs by means of rubber-metal shear shock-absorbers. Each shock-absorber is made up of two cheeks with layer of rubber between them. Cheeks of shock-absorbers are parallel to end-face discs. One cheek is connected with end-face disc. Second cheek is connected with bracket which is fastened to shell by means of strip. Strip is oriented radially with respect to shell and is directed along its generating line. Rubber-metal shear shock-absorbers ensure freedom of deformation of shell in radial displacement and simultaneously hold shell from axial displacement. Bracket does not prevent deformation of shell. Aforesaid embodiment of vibration-wave roll adds to reliability of road roller due to effective axial fixing of shell relative to frame. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
