FIELD: road-building machinery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for compacting road-building materials. Proposed roll of road roller contains shell made of flexible material. Shell accommodates frame provided with cantilever arranged inside shell at one of its sides. Cantilever carriers at least two rollers which are in contact with inner surface of shell. Shell rotating drive is mounted on frame inside shell from other side. Outlet link of drive is arranged coaxially relative to shell and is connected to shell through shock absorbers. Outlet link of shell rotating drive should be preferably made in form of internal gear wheel installed of frame in bearing supports. Cantilever arranged inside shell at one of its sides and rollers mounted on said cantilever leave place inside shell at other side for mounting shell rotating drive conveying rotation to shell with outlet link arranged coaxially relative to shell. Connection of outlet link to shell by means of shock absorbers provides transmission of rotation from outlet link to deformable shell at change of distance between them.
