FIELD: reinforcement of ice covering. SUBSTANCE: method involves increasing the thickness of covering by immersing ice blocks into an opening formed by cutting out the natural ice covering around block perimeter. Ice thickness is increased by cycles each consisting in immersing the blocks to a depth equal to thickness of natural ice covering and attaching them to said natural covering. Beginning with the second cycle the cutouts in the natural ice covering are made after freezing of the water which fills the opening above the immersed blocks. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 dwg
