FIELD: determination of velocity vector field in liquids and gases. SUBSTANCE: method involves additional sounding of route by continuous beams, generation of continuous scattered beam Doppler spectrum, determination of reflectivity distribution along route by pulse signal, and calculation of scatterer velocity projection on sounding direction as function of distance using function of mutual correlation between Doppler spectrum and reflectivity distribution along route. EFFECT: extended range of measured velocities due to elimination of their ambiguity. 2 dwg
