SUBSTANCE: method includes emitting long pulses first, recording the Doppler spectrum of the reflected signal on a long portion of a probing trajectory with high velocity resolution, emitting short pulses on the same trajectory, recording the intensity profile of the reflected signal along the long portion, determining the projections of velocities of scatterers along the long portion from the correlation between intensity of the reflected signal along the long portion and the spectral density of the Doppler spectrum. To improve reliability of measurements, the measurement cycle is repeated with periodic change of scatterers in the probed volume or with periodic change in reflectivity of scatterers, and correlation characteristics are stored.
EFFECT: high range and velocity resolution of scatterers.
