SUBSTANCE: invention relates to meteorology and method of determining wind profile in atmosphere. Method includes radiation receiver-transmitter long pulses, recording of reflected signal, obtaining Doppler signal at different heights in different probing directions. Specification of wind speed profile within long section is performed taking into account complete shape Doppler spectra in two or more directions probing, in which the spectrum width is maximum and taking into account attenuation law received power of distance to transceiver.
