FIELD: automatics, computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for use in turnstiles, automatic phones and the like. Process is based on registration of radiation of excited luminophor with exposure of face surface of badge to light flux and on comparison of this radiation with preset value. Radiation of excited luminophor from butt surface of disc-shaped badge is registered under uniform radiation of its face surface with light flux. Gear for realization of process includes radiation source 1 installed in window of badge conduit 9 on side of face surface of badge 2, photodetectors 4,5 and threshold elements 6,7. Gear is inserted with former 8 of controlling signals to determine direction of badge movement. Photodetectors 4,5 are installed in window of badge conduit 9 on side of butt surface of badge 2.
